Do you offer beginners classes? Yes, we have a beginners courses. Classes run daily. Please see our timetable for more details
Can I compete? Yes, we are a very successful competition club and will help you to reach your goals. Carlson Gracie London has an active competition team.
How do I arrange a private class? Please book your private class with the instructor of your choice. Prices range from £75-£150 per hour.
What should I wear? You can wear track suits, leggings or shorts and T shirt, or any Gi that you might own.
What is a gi? Where can I buy one? When should I buy one? A gi is a cotton suit (kimono) that you wear for training. We suggest you buy one when you have decided to start training. We also stock faixa preta kimonos at our academy or you can buy one here at Faixa Preta Kimonos.
Should I bring water? Yes, you should bring water, preferably in a reusable bottle.
Do you have off peak membership? No, we only offer a full membership
Can I freeze my membership to go on holiday or at Christmas? No, the gym would not be able to operate if this was the case.
Which is the nearest train station? Mortlake train station is the closest train station. East Sheen high street is serviced by the 33, 337 and 493 buses.
Do you offer family discounts? Yes, if you are joining 2 or more family members you will receive a 20% discount.
Can I pay per class? Carlson Gracie Sheen is a members club and we prefer you to take a full membership.
Can I pay for a year? Yes, we offer discounted memberships if you are paying up front, please enquire at reception.
Can I train MMA? Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a core part of MMA, and this is our focus here at Carlson Gracie Sheen. We train and compete MMA out of our main academy in Hammersmith, and you would be able to upgrade your membership to include this Please contact us to discuss this further.

Do I need to book my child into a class? Yes, we will operate a bookings system for all classes and we will have limited numbers to keep class sizes small.
Is there space in the children’s classes? We offer beginners classes for 7-11 year olds on Saturdays. We offer memberships for 4-7 year old and 11+ classes. Sign up here.
